The Clutch Saver, service cylinder dust boot for the 996 / 997 is an item that often needs to be replaced if there is a leak or Pentosin from the cylinder. When Pentosin makes contact with the oem dust boot it reacts with the rubber and the boot swells rendering it unusable. The Clutch Saver Dust Boot is a replacement for the oem boot, and is better in the following ways: 1. The Clutch Saver Boot is stronger and holds the push pin much better for easier alignment. 2. The Clutch Saver Boot is resistant to the effects of Pentosin. 3. The Clutch Saver Boot is available to ship worldwide. Note: To make installation easier, heat bottom half of boot by placing it in water in a microwave for 60 - 90 seconds to warm it and make it more pliable.
